If you're looking for a homemade coffee creamer made without white sugar or sweetened condensed milk, you need to try this easy recipe for maple coffee creamer!

One of the best ways to relax has to be enjoying a hot cup of coffee, whether you're sitting at home or by the rainy windowside of a local coffee shop. The coffee experience is one of life's true simple pleasures.
Store-bought coffee creamer has lots of additives to keep it stable and uniform for a long time, but homemade coffee creamer can deliver delicious flavor AND a smooth texture if given a good shake beforehand.
Not only is homemade coffee creamer free from preservatives, palm oil, corn syrup, and emulsifiers, but it can also be made with maple syrup!
Enjoy this homemade maple coffee creamer on a daily basis. It's the perfect companion to your morning or afternoon coffee, and is made with just 4 simple ingredients. You're going to love it!
Why You'll Love It:
- Natural ingredients. Maple syrup, heavy cream, milk, and vanilla – yup, that's it!
- Creamy texture. If you love the creaminess that commercial coffee creamers add to your morning coffee, you should try making your own coffee creamer! It's WAY better than the bottled stuff.
- Naturally sweetened. No sweetened condensed milk, refined sugar, or other processed sweeteners. All you need is pure maple syrup!
You Will Need:

- Heavy cream: Also known as heavy whipping cream, this adds the perfect amount of creaminess to your homemade coffee.
- Milk: We recommend whole milk, but 2% will work just fine. Even 1% is fine, but we recommend against skim milk – it's a bit too light.
- Maple syrup: This adds the perfect amount of sweetness and a subtle maple flavor that cannot be beat. Use pure or real maple syrup only – pancake syrup just isn't the same.
- Vanilla extract: A splash adds the perfect subtle flavor. Best of all? No artificial flavors!
Why Use Heavy Cream?
If you find that coffee from the coffee shop is better than your coffee at home, this is probably the reason why! All coffee shops use a blend of heavy cream and milk (table cream, or blend cream/half-and-half).
How to Make Homemade Creamer with Maple Syrup
It's so easy to make your own homemade coffee creamer, and once you do it the first time, you'll never want store-bought again!

- Add 1 ¼ cup of heavy cream, 1 cup of milk, and ⅓ cup of pure maple syrup to a small saucepan.
- Bring to a simmer over medium heat, whisking constantly.

- Once a simmer is reached, remove the pot from the heat and stir in the vanilla extract.
- Cool before serving.
Using Your Coffee Creamer

- Once the creamer has cooled, add it to your favorite cup of hot coffee, iced coffee, or lattes!

- Stir until well combined, and add more to get your perfect color if needed!
Variations and Substitutions
With Coconut Milk
If you want to make a dairy-free sweetener, swap out the milk and heavy cream for the same amount of well blended full-fat coconut milk (about 1 ½ cups). Make sure you blend before serving, as coconut milk separates when refrigerated.
Maple Cinnamon Coffee Creamer
Add a few shakes of ground cinnamon to the mixture, or add some to each cup of hot coffee before serving.
With Almond Milk
We don't recommend making creamer with 100% almond milk as it does not have enough fat to be super creamy, but you can substitute the milk for the almond milk with good results. Otherwise, feel free to experiment and see what works for you!

This is so easy to make and delicious in coffee – especially iced coffee! We like to add a little cinnamon for a cinnamon maple flavor.
