Why is Little Home in the Making free to access?
Little Home in the Making is free to access because of the use of personal funds, affiliate, and advertisement income. At this time, I use mostly personal funds to host the website, pay for needed ingredients, and other expenses that come with running a website. In order to keep the content free and available, Little Home in the Making will pursue both affiliate and advertising income, at no additional charge to you.
How Is Little Home in the Making Funded?
Affiliate Income: When you buy a product or service that is suggested on Little Home in the Making, we get a small commission at no additional charge to you.
Advertising Income: As our page views increase, advertisements will become a larger part of our total income. These advertisements may collect cookies to provide targeted ads to you. Advertisements will take the form of banner or sidebar ads.
Affiliates and Commission
I only recommend products that I believe will add value or I have personally tried and loved! When I recommend a product, you are in no way obligated or expected to make a purchase: even if you click a link!
You may see a banner-style advertisement, or it may be an internal link in my blog post/recipe itself.
When you click on a link, you are tagged with a special cookie in order to track the referral back to the blog (which is how we make money). If you end up making a purchase, we are paid a referral fee or commission at no additional cost to you.
Does It Cost Me Money?
Like mentioned above, all of this is at no additional cost to you. In some cases (like when you use a referral code), it may actually save you money!
Do You See My Personal Information?
No, I don’t see any personal information! I don’t see anything like your name, email, address, credit card, or anything else.
The only thing that I can see is that a purchase was made by an anonymous user, the date, and time of the purchase.
